Featured Project
andwemet RedesignAndwemet is a startup aimed at changing the online dating market for Indians. It varies from the other dating platforms in the market, say, Tinder, Bumble, in the sense that it mainly targets the middle-aged urban population and promises you to find a “long-term relationship”. I was onboarded as the singular UX/UI Designer and managed to increase the overall user engagement of the website by 35% over a period of 4 months. While I have documented mainly the UI improvements here, I also worked on several new features in discussion with the Development and Business teams.
UX/UI Design
What started as an ardent interest in the art of making posters and visual communication soon turned into getting into the psyche of people - what do people see when they interact with an interface? What are their grievances? How do we bridge the gap between what needs to be communicated and what is communicated? And so I have been trying to understand people and craft experiences for them for the past four years :)
Data Analytics
My interest in Data came with Design. What proves that design is good? Why should we favour one design over another? How does one justify any decision, really? I have come to find data to be a very strong weapon, albeit something which has to be used very, very carefully. Balancing the right amount of data and intuition is my favourite adventure sport now ;)
Product Management
I should not call Product Management a skill (lol) since it is a never-ending list of qualities impossible to be in a single person. But I strive to learn, iterate and gracefully exit wherever required. I am obsessed with Root Cause Analysis - and Service and System Design. Knowing the entire life cycle of a product and every user journey inside out is always essential for a sustainable solution.
R-Store for Channeli
R Store is a platform for IIT Roorkee developers to showcase and view each other's apps, focusing on viewing and discussing rather than commercializing and using apps. This makes it different from the Google Play Store, primarily a platform for users to download and use apps. The project was ideated and designed by me and developed by Rahul. We received an average of 200 daily users in the first week, with 80% positive feedback.
Rethinking WhatsApp Business
In this case study, I have documented designing an experience to enable the local stores to sell items to their customers through WhatsApp for Businesses. I first documented the common touch points in the user journeys of a customer buying from a physical local store and through WhatsApp. Based on my learnings through Customer Insights and Market Research, I have designed an experience that provides more discoverability for the local stores and a minimally intrusive and simple, intuitive user interface.
Patronus for Creatica 2021
Patronus is an application which suggests the safest route to a destination based on the existing police database. It is a safety app that can also be used to notify your close contacts in case of mishaps. Users can also provide inputs for the database by tagging and reporting incidents. The working prototype was developed with two other teammates during the Creatica '21 Hackathon.
Helpcentre Redesign for Channeli
Helpcentre, as the name suggests, is a query portal for the users of Channeli, the official IITR Portal. I redesigned both the user's and maintainer's ends of the Help Centre based on user surveys. Restructured the Information Architecture to make it more intuitive and added FAQ Section.
We received 100% positive feedback from the users as well as maintainers.

The Good Neighbor App
I worked on the service and interaction design of a self-ideated app - the Good Neighbor, which aims to solve the problem of requesting and renting daily essential/ domestic items from neighbours in a hyperlocal setting. I created a service blueprint to understand and define all the possible touchpoints and interactions. This was done as an assignment for the ValueLabs Interaction Design Apprenticeship.
